BHS- Where you want to go, if you love to write!
School, school is a necessity to everyone’s life no matter if you like it or not. After grade 7, I started putting less effort in school and didn’t care as much. I didn’t see school as what it actually is. I passed grade 8 with sixties and failed one or two classes. Grade 9, I didn’t do anything but pretend to work and it bit me in the arse. Throughout the whole grade nine I didn’t really fool around much. I was just lazy and not interested to work. In conclusion for wasting my year and expecting things just to come I got repeated in grade nine. Now there are pros and cons to repeating a kid. Having to repeat a year, which means I lost a year where I could have been working and made some money and having to be in a class with kids younger than me made me realize that school is the number one priority. School will open up more paths for everybody’s future rather than if you don’t have your school. Every since I had to repeat my attitude just switched around. It is frustrating, but I still do my best to get through it and now my goal is to be on the honour role before I graduate. I see kids in my grade saying the same things that I would say when I didn't finish my work. For example, I didn't have time and I worry for them because that's just an excuse you always have time for school. It's about putting that time into your daily routine because excuses will get you nowhere. I don't want to see kids have to repeat like I did. I wanted to tell the kid that school comes before everything besides of course your family so it goes to say that you must find the time to do your work otherwise you'll fail, although sometimes failure could be the only way you'll learn.
